2016 SUMMER RESIDENCY APPLICATION NOW OPEN
DEADLINE: JANUARY 15

APPLY HERE!
Application Deadline: January 15th, 11:59PM EST

SUMMER RESIDENCIES: MAY – OCTOBER
We're accepting 1 – 6 month proposals for our Summer Residency season! Residents are selected by a review committee composed of the board of directors and professionals in their field. Artists and writers will be selected based on the quality of their work, commitment to their practice, and ability to interact positively with the community at large.

STUDIOS + FACILITIES
Artists will receive an adaptable raw studio space in Luther Barn, an historic livestock barn. They will also have access to the residency's workshop facilities, which include a wood shop and a silkscreen studio. There is also the potential for expansion of workshop space and the possibility of working outside. Residents are highly encouraged to take advantage of the summertime weather! Artists will have 24 hour access to their studio and accommodations which include a private bedroom, shared living room / study, dining room, kitchen, and bath.

EDUCATION FELLOWSHIPS
SUMMER FELLOW (June - August),
FALL FELLOW (September - December)

Our Education Fellowship program awards free 3-4 month residencies in exchange for extensive participation in the Wassaic Project’s Education Programming, which connects the local community to contemporary artists and artistic practices.

Summer Education Fellows will work in many different areas of our summer education programming. The Summer Fellow will be a Teaching Artist for our Art Scouts camp, a 4-session artist-led program where kids make art inspired by the Wassaic Project Summer Exhibition. He or she will also assist the Education Director in managing Art Nest, our drop-in making space. In addition, the Summer Fellow will design and lead community workshops, including a workshop at our Summer Festival, and work with our team of High School Interns. The fellow will also assist with our Teen and Adult Printmaking workshops.
