TO PARTNER ON ARTS ENGAGEMENT INITIATIVE BETWEEN CUBA AND USA MADE POSSIBLE THROUGH $215,000 GRANT FROM ROBERT STERLING CLARK FOUNDATION
Linda Shelton, Executive Director of The Joyce Theater
Foundation, and Karen Brooks Hopkins, President of the
Brooklyn Academy of Music (BAM), announced today that The Joyce and BAM have received a generous grant from the Robert Sterling Clark Foundation in the amount of $215,000 over two years which will support a special initiative designed to promote international arts engagement between Cuba and the United States. Encompassing arts administration training, internship opportunities, dance production, public performances, and audience engagement, the project will be undertaken in partnership with the Ludwig Foundation of Cuba and the New York City-based choreographer Ronald K.
Brown.
