Find out more here *AUDITION ALERT* A.I.M + Brian Brooks/Moving Company + Sidra Bell Dance New York - March 182/9/2023 A.I.M by Kyle Abraham will host a shared audition with Brian Brooks/Moving Company and Sidra Bell Dance New York on Saturday, March 18th, 2023. These renowned dance makers are seeking dancers to fill paid full-time and part-time positions for upcoming and future performance seasons. Artists of color and of all gender identities are strongly encouraged to attend. All candidates will be seen by all choreographers, and potential additional choreographers in hopes of finding more opportunities for all participating artists. AUDITION PROCESS FOR INTERESTED DANCERS: Pre-registration is required to secure an audition slot. Candidates will be seen March 18th in time slots between 10am and 8pm. A time slot, New York-based audition location, Covid safety protocols, and short video phrase to learn (prior to your audition) will be sent within two weeks of submission. Guest Artists are engaged in specific rehearsal and performance engagements and their primary responsibilities are artistic collaboration. The collective seeks dancer-actors and movement practitioners who have a minimum of 2-3 years experience working as an artist in NYC, and are actively developing their gender and anti-racist analyses. Dancers must have a strong technical foundation. Black women and femmes are highly encouraged to audition. Artists who are age 40 and over are also highly encouraged to audition. For more information, check out our website or click the button below. REGISTER Mabou Mines Resident Artist Program (RAP) is a laboratory for emerging artists to experiment with performance ideas. The program offers artists the opportunity to work in residence at Mabou Mines during spring 2023. The artists receive rehearsal/performance space, a stipend, mentoring, and administrative and technical assistance. Participants attend monthly meetings, creating an artistic community through shared ideas in a forum-like setting. Resident Artists show their work in development at the culmination of the residency. The showings are free and open to the public. Mabou Mines RAP is open to early career artists both individuals and small companies of all disciplines –- performers, playwrights, dramaturges, directors, designers, composers, choreographers, visual artists –- anyone with a compelling performance idea.
