The Company will offer the world premiere of Visible, an intergenerational dance choreographed by Williams, and set to Alexander Scriabin’s "Piano Preludes," performed live by Isabelle O’Connell, and original music performed live by Tristan Kasten-Krause from his 2021 album "Potential Landscapes." Williams’ choreography for Visible will explore the tensions between our seen and unseen identities. Our ever evolving and dissolving roles in society as family members, partners, care givers, friends, and artists shape and conceal who we are, revealing disparate and common connections. Brown’s Grace, and Ailey’s iconic Revelations. This program is part of the Company’s 2024—2025 season celebrating the life and legacy of artistic director emerita, Judith Jamison. New Dance Alliance announces the 39th annual Performance Mix Festival, curated by New Dance Alliance artistic and executive director Karen Bernard, managing dDirector Alexandra Doyle, and panelists bringing together 40 innovative experimental performance, sound, and film artists over four days in June.  Arantxa Araujo, Chloë Engel, Johanna Meyer, Jordan Deal, and Estrellx Supernova. Jacob's Pillow Seeks Director of Archives

​GENERAL SUMMARY
The Director of Archives ensures that Jacob’s Pillow's past is in active conversation with its present and future by guiding its Archives’ evolution through ongoing preservation efforts. The incoming director will facilitate and broaden access to the Archives for dance artists, scholars, curators, students, writers, staff, and the general public. This includes reviewing and establishing policies and practices for department priorities to align with Jacob’s Pillow values and mission to invite and welcome the full spectrum of dance aesthetics, cultures, and abilities who comprise the dance landscape. They will work with the Archives collections throughout their entire lifecycle including appraisal, accessioning, processing, cataloging, and preservation. They will also support the work of the Pillow’s curatorial team for live performance, exhibitions, public humanities, and digital content by identifying resources and facilitating access.

Dance Education Assistant, Spring 2025 Term
Location: Bronx, NY (in-person)   Department: AATT Academy 

Type: Seasonal, Part-Time   Salary: $20/hour
Start Date: as soon as possible

JOB DESCRIPTION
BAAD! seeks a Dance Education Assistant (DEA) for its AATT Academy athletic dance program for the Summer 2025 term.

The DEA works closely with the Dance Education Coordinator in preparation for the program and with teaching artists during dance classes.  It is important to note that this position is an in-class support position which requires strong hands-on classroom management skills, excellent communication skills and experience working well with elementary school-aged children.

The DEA provides in-class assistance and is responsible for acclimating up to 26 students to AATT Academy’s core values and structure. This position requires strong leadership and studio/classroom management skills. This includes upholding safety requirements and policies to ensure a safe dance learning environment.  

This position is part-time and in-person. Some in-person teaching may be required, as needed.

The DEA position (not including teaching) schedule ranges from 10 hours per week (for recruitment and program preparation) up to 20 to 25 hours per week (during summer classes). Compensation is $20/hour.

    I am a performer, historian, consultant and dance writer.
