The principal responsibility of the Humanities and Engagement Producing Intern is to provide research and administrative support for New York Live Arts' Live Ideas program scheduled to launch April 2015. POSITION SUMMARY: New York Live Arts seeks creative and forward-thinking candidates for competitive administrative and producing internships. All applicants are expected to be independent, computer-literate workers who are passionate about the arts; prior experience in the dance field is not required. Related educational or work experience is preferred. Benefits include complimentary tickets to New York Live Arts events (when available) and, often, to events at other cultural venues. The performance ritual starts at 8:15am and concludes at 8:46am. Buglisi notes, "The Table of Silence Project represents the common threads of humanity which unite all mankind into a single force with common goals and aspirations regardless of race, culture, or religion. Find out more here New York City Center’s FALL FOR DANCE FESTIVAL - Kick Off Central Park’s Delacorte Theater September 12-13 In association with The Public Theater, the Fall for Dance Festival brings dance to Central Park for the second time. Featured are: Bill T. Jones/Arnie Zane Dance Company, Hubbard Street Dance Chicago, Lil Buck and New York City Ballet. Free tickets will be distributed, two per person, at The Public’s Delacorte Theater on the day of the show and through virtual ticketing. The Requisite Movers is excited to offer our Wellspring Artistic Dialogue and Critical Feedback intensives November 1, 2014. These intensive sessions or workshops focus on the art of making quality dances in a laid back and productive setting. The program provides opportunities for Black female choreographers or women choreographers of African descent to receive critical feedback on their artistic work. The dance work supported by TRM is typically grounded in diasporan physicalities, social issues, theatre, and/or literature. Choreographers whose dances are workshopped during the Wellspring Intensives will be a part of The Requisite Movers’ 2015 performances.

The Cumbe youth program offers performing arts classes for students ages 1 to 11. The fall 2014 semester runs from September 15 through December 14, culminating in a student showcase for friends and family. Cumbe's highly skilled teaching artists lead classes in a wide range of art forms from across the African Diaspora – including African and Caribbean dance, Dunham and modern techniques, Hip-Hop, Conga and Djembe percussion, Capoeira, musical theater, creative movement and tumbling. Registration prices start at $17 per class and $182 for the full semester, and various discounts are available, including a 10% early bird discount on registration before August 24th.
