In the works for five years since posing the question “What would have happened in 1963 if someone from the voguing ballroom scene in Harlem had come downtown to perform alongside the early postmoderns at Judson Church?” Harrell premieres his, Twenty Looks or Paris is Burning at the Judson Church: THE SERIES in the span of one week. Performances left are: Wednesday, September 17 (jr) Antigone Jr. at 8pm and (Plus) Antigone Jr. ++ at 9:30pm, Friday, September 19 (L) Antigone Sr. at 8pm and Saturday, September 20 (M2M) Judson Church is Ringing in Harlem at 8pm. This work is co-presented with The Kitchen. The eighth and final section of Twenty Looks or Paris is Burning at the Judson Church will emerge in the form of a publication in 2016. Find out more here
Queer New York International Arts Festival

“The festival was created to expand the parameters of reading all that queer performance can be and mean. The concept proposes a reinvented definition of queer that can serve as a wider platform for excellence in the arts, one that is capable of tracking, discovering, and interpreting new trends,” according to the release. Artists rein from Croatia, Bulgaria, The Netherlands, Spain, India and the US. Some of the artists who will present U.S. premieres at Abrons Arts Center are Ivo Dimchev, Jan Martens, Mark Tompkins and Jeremy Wade. Find out more here

Miro Magloire's New Chamber Ballet
