Join Bebe Neuwirth and the Entertainment Community Fund’s Dancers’ Resource program on November 11 for Dancer Day of Health at New York City Center!
Throughout the day, dancers will be able to participate in a variety of wellness offerings, including:
10:30-11:30 am: Breakfast and Welcome Remarks
11:30 am-12:30 pm: Karine Plantadit’s unique movement class which combines dance movement, breath work and yoga
12:30-1:30 pm: Lunch and Learn with Dancers' Resource Founder Bebe Neuwirth and discussion led by social worker, Mario I. Espinoza, LCSW, and Career Transition for Dancers Counselor, Brittany Hillyer, LMSW.
1:30-2:30 pm: Mindfulness Meditation co-led by Ross Rayburn and NYC Principal Dancer Sarah Mearns
2:45-3:45 pm: Cross-Training for Dancers led by Ella Otto, from Harkness Center for Dance Injuries
Upon arrival, dancers will also be able to register for the following:
One-on-one 15-minute foot and ankle wellness consultations with Dr. Louis Galli, DPM, from The Friedman Health Center for the Performing Arts
One-on-one consultations with Dietitian Rebecca Alcosser, RD, CDN, specializing in nutrition for dancers
Free flu shots
Breakfast and lunch will be provided!
Whether you are part of a ballet or contemporary company, perform on a Broadway stage or dance on the sets of television shows and movies, we welcome you to join us for a day that recognizes the work of dancers, connects you with peers in the community and centers on your health and wellness.
