Clark Center for the Performing Arts presents three tribute performances honoring African American dancer, choreographer, and teacher Charles Moore (1931–1986) who helped to shape the New York dance scene of the 1960s, ’70s, and early ’80s, plus more events at the 14th Street Y. Kamuyu will premiere Fragmented Shadows, “Grounded in epigenetic and psychosomatic research, Kamuyu offers voice and light to embodied legacies of inherited and personal suffering. She asks, How can we use the body as a site of liberation, a site of healing,?” according to the release. The ballerina, Tiler Peck returns in “Turn It Out with Tiler Peck & Friends,” an encore presentation of the program she curated for the inaugural Artists at the Center. The show features Peck alongside India Bradley, Chun Wai Chan, Michelle Dorrance, Jovani Furlan, Christopher Grant, Lex Ishimoto, Brooklyn Mack, Aaron Marcellus, Roman Mejia, Jillian Meyers, Mira Nadon, Quinn Starner, Byron Tittle, and Penelope Wendtlandt.
