Danspace Project’s Platform 2018: Dancing Grounds curated by Wilson inspired an extensive Philadelphia project which featured eight Philly choreographers at three historic churches in Philadelphia. The Philadelphia project resulted in a documentary film entitled GROUNDS THAT SHOUT!… and others merely shaking produced by Deborah Thomas, directed by Gordon Divine Asaan, and curated by Reggie Wilson. This program will include a screening of the documentary of the 2019 Philadelphia series and reflections on the 2018 Danspace Platform. Find out more here

Invisible Universe is a feature-length experimental documentary and dance film by Emily Coates that chronicles spontaneous collaborations between leading dance artists and scientists encountering each other for the first time within the Wright Laboratory. Find out more here

As part of the La MaMa Moves! Dance Festival and at Community Arts Space, Amalia Suryani will premiere of Ta’na Nirau, “…rooted in the dance, music, and storytelling traditions of the Dayak tribes of Borneo, Indonesia, who are grappling with multiple existential challenges,” notes the release.  Fin out more here

As part of the "Works & Process" series Bufalino closes the inaugural Uptown Rhythm Dance Festival with stories and work spanning a lifetime, Bufalino starts with the film The White Buffalo Suite, which her company the American Tap Dance Orchestra premiered in 1990. Her cast of collaborators includes dancers Alice Baum, Tammy Sakuri, and Dylan Szuch as well as accordion player and pianist Ben Rosenbaum and bass player Joe Fonda. Find out more here

The Company with a program celebrating Brown’s Unstable Molecular Structure cycle, a period which introduced the geometric style that remains a hallmark of her work. The program will feature Opal Loop/Cloud Installation #72503 (1980) and Son of Gone Fishin’ (1981), plus a new commissioned piece, Time again, by choreographer Lee Serle in collaboration with Colombian visual artist Mateo López.  ​Find out more here

    I am a performer, historian, consultant and dance writer.
