The Company will present three programs featuring works by Baye & Asa and Annie Rigney, Hofesh Shechter, Sonya Tayeh, plus Graham’s masterworks Cave of the Heart and Embattled Garden, Every Soul is a Circus, and Dark Meadow Suite.  Find out more here


Dance Theatre of Harlem

Apr. 19 – 23

Dance Theater of Harlem returns for its annual Vision Gala and homecoming season, celebrating 54 years.  This is the company’s final season with founding member and former principal dancer Virginia Johnson. Included on the two programs is Johnson’s most-beloved Balanchine ballet, Allegro Brillante, plus William Forsythe’s Blake Works IV, and Tiffany Rea-Fisher’s  Sounds of Hazel, Christopher Wheeldon’s This Bitter Earth, Nacho Duato’s Coming Together, DTH Resident Choreographer and incoming artistic director Robert Garland’s Higher Ground plus repertory favorites. Gibney Dance

Ude will premiere Cameo a duet about preserving and losing memories. The performance will feature a multimedia installation, a live soundscape, and an improvised score. Find out more here

The BOOGIE DOWN DANCE SERIES will showcase a diverse lineup of events featuring the artist from the Bronx. Slated for this season is the BRIO (Bronx Recognizes Its Own) All Star Dance Concert; Bunny Dance Compilation, works by local choreographers to the music of Puerto Rico’s Bad Bunny, Dancing While Black's three-part series: Past, Present, and Future, and so much more.  Find out more here 

Ballet De Lorraine

The company will present two North American premieres by France’s Centre Chorégraphique National Ballet de Lorraine, (CCN Ballet De Lorraine), directed by Petter Jacobsson: Miguel Gutierrez' Cela Nous Concerne Tous (This Concerns All Of Us); and For Four Walls,  by Petter Jacobsson and Thomas Caleyand. Find out more here

    I am a performer, historian, consultant and dance writer.
