DANCENOW celebrates its 21st annual season at Joe’s Pub and will present 24 artists in all new works, commissioned from a diverse roster in two different programs of 12 artists each night. Hosted by Deborah Lohse as TruDee, featured will be Jamal Jackson Dance Company, NVD Project, Symara Johnson, NVA & Guests, Tsiambwon M. Manhattan West
Every Wednesday in September at Manhattan West, “Gather Round,” a free outdoor dance and music series, in partnership with Works & Process and inspired by the competitions of the summer Olympics in Paris, will feature a celebration of street and club dance battles. Find out more here

Park Avenue Armory
WIth the premiere of R.O.S.E., "...a subversive Armory co-commission that reconfigures conventional expectations of dance performance by dissolving the boundary between performers and audience members and bringing everyone together on the dance floor," according to the release. Conceived by Eyal and her creative partner Gai Behar, this new production synthesizes contemporary dance, electronic music, and club culture. Find out more here

EL Barrio Artspace
Clark Center NYC brings back their "Dance Showcase" and pays homage to the original Clark Center “New Choreographers” concerts which began in 1962. “We continue to be dedicated to supporting new talent by encouraging emerging choreographers and small companies,” notes the release. The lineup of emerging artists includes Winston Dynamite, Daniel Kersh, Claudia Logi, Makayla Peterson, Rachael Su, Miaotian Sun, and Sekou Walton. And guest artists will be Alpha Omega Theatrical Dance Company, Jamel Gaines Creative Outlet, Amy Pivar and Jamal Story. Find out more here
