At CARVALHO, an art gallery, Ingrid Silva choreographs and performs Echos On The Wall as part of the gallery's ongoing series which pairs dancers and choreographers with artists to create new work. Echos On The Wall is “a contemporary ballet that weaves together the language of movement and silent stories, held in the spaces around us, particularly in walls — both real and metaphorical,” according to the release. Silva, a Brazilian ballet dancer with Dance Theater of Harlem (DTH) is joined by Elias Re also of DTH and Vinícius Freire of NJ Ballet, in collaboration with gallery artist Rosalind Tallmadge’s site-specific installation, Pareidolia. The exhibition opened on June 12. The final performance dates are July 10 and 20. Find out more here

Mark Morris Dance Group launches its 45th anniversary season with two programs that include two premieres and live music each night. In Program A, the world premiere set to the music of James P. Johnson, plus The Muir (2010), Mosaic and United (1993), and Silhouettes (1999). In Program B a debut set to the music of John Luther Adams, alongside Ten Suggestions (1981), The Argument (1999), and Going Away Party (1990). Find out more here
