Prudential Presents Alvin Ailey’s Revelations Celebration will joyously bring together all ages and backgrounds to learn and perform excerpts from Alvin Ailey’s American masterpiece – acclaimed as a must-see for all. Made possible by the generous support of Prudential, the public workshop is led by former Ailey starNasha Thomas and features live music from a gospel choir and percussionist, and a participatory fan collage art project.

Support Group for Injured Dancers
The supportive community you need to recover from your dance injury.
An 8-week group for professional dancers who are managing or recovering from an injury. Through open discussion and the sharing of resources and healthy coping strategies, this group will provide a safe space for dancers to support one another at all stages of the healing process. As a program of The Dancers’ Resource, this group will reduce isolation caused by injury and help dancers navigate their changing relationships with their bodies and dance.
An initial interview is required for participation.

About LiftOff Workshops:
Fall/Winter and Winter/Spring workshops strive to create a safe and intimate space to receive feedback that supports the aesthetics of seasoned artists and explore resources to enable development. The group meets weekly for a three-hour session for 10 weeks with feedback facilitated by NDA director Karen Bernard and Jil Guyon.
During the workshop three guests from the industry are invited to be part of the feedback process. Past guests have included Past guests have included Mathew Lyons, Curator, The Kitchen; Yvonne Meier, Choreographer; Kathy Kaufmann, Lighting Designer; Anya Liftig, Performance Artist; Yve Laris Cohen, Performance and Multidiscipline Artist; Moirah Evans, Choreographer; Craig Peterson, Dance Curator, Abrons Arts Center; Shelley Hirsch, Singer and Composer; among others.
Twenty hours of discounted rehearsal space available at $5 per hour. LiftOff takes place at NDA’s studio, 182 Duane Street in the heart of Tribeca. Space for LiftOff is limited.
