Join multi-disciplinary artist Edisa Weeks in the journey of making 1,865 roots out of paper and twine, for the installation and performance of 3 RITES: Liberty. 1865 represents the last year of legalized chattel slavery in America.
We will also be releasing the Life Zine, which is one of four limited edition accordion fold art zines about the 3 RITES project. The zine includes images from creative residencies to develop life, the poem/essay “Movement to Suffocate” by James Scruggs, and graphic design by Natalia Viteri. Zine images included below.
