The Department of Dance at The Ohio State University seeks a dance professional who is actively engaged in a combination of physical practice, creative activity, and theoretical inquiry. We welcome an artist/teacher working in Africanist traditions who brings 21st century approaches and interdisciplinary perspectives. We value an individual who will continue their relationships with the professional field nationally and internationally, as well as with the local community. We expect additional contributions in core choreography courses and other areas, creating an effective webbing of movement practice, theory, and creative activity, and advancing the department’s commitment to diversity and inclusion.
