Fearon will present a preview of her twelve sectioned piece Consider Water, described as “…performance & social commentary on the effects of the global water crisis.” Consider Water was “Inspired by her experience of having limited access to clean, drinkable water as a child in Jamaica, [and] combines three types of artistic expression: dynamic and fluid dance, original music, and visual arts,” according to the release. The Apollo again hosts "Breakin' Convention..."  and will feature and international lineup: Les Twins (France), Rennie Harris Puremovement (Philadelphia), BirdGang Dance Company (U.K.), NL2 Formerly known as Next Level Squad (Brooklyn, N.Y.), Compagnie Phorm (France/Argentina), the Ruggeds (Holland), Tito Lockers from Soulsations! Dancers Over 40

In “Celebration of Diversity,” Dancers Over 40 will showcase a wide range of performers, directors and choreographers including Jerry Mitchell’s Broadway-bound show, Gotta Dance with a cast all over 60, plus a celebration of African-American, Hispanic and Asian artists including Gus Solomon Jr's dance company Paradigm, and members of his company including  Carmen de Lavallade, Sarita Allen, Hope Clarke and Karen Brown and more.  Find out more here

    I am a performer, historian, consultant and dance writer. I am a Empire State College's online program Center for Distance Learning.  I am also a former faculty member at The Ailey School and the Alvin Ailey/Fordham University dance major program, Hunter College, Sarah Lawrence College (Guest), Kean University and The Joffrey Ballet School's Jazz and Contemporary Trainee Program.  I write on dance for The Amsterdam News, Dance Magazine and various publications.  Click below to read more about me at my home page - "About Me."
