The Department of Dance in the Peck School of the Arts is hiring a Visiting Assistant Professor to teach undergraduate and graduate courses in Contemporary African Diasporic and/or Latin Diasporic dance forms, as well as composition, improvisation, and other related creative and technical courses. Candidates will also be expected to create works on student dancers for faculty/guest concerts. In addition, they should maintain academic and/or creative research and professional engagement with local, state and national associations. Further opportunities may include teaching other courses related to areas of expertise. The ideal candidate will contribute to department and college service that may include curriculum development in area of expertise, recruitment, mentorship, advising, and faculty governance.
