Back home at the Citigroup Theater for their 2018 season, and in two programs, the Company will premiere Darrell Grand Moultrie's Road to One by, Juel D. Lane's Touch & Agree and Renee I. McDonald's Breaking Point in the "All New" program. For the "Contemporary Favorites" program, repertory works will include Jae Man Joo' Circular, Bridget L. The series, “Dancing Platform Praying Grounds: Blackness, Churches, and Downtown Dance” by guest curator Reggie Wilson for the Danspace Project’s Platform 2018, continues with participating dance artists: Same As Sister/Briana Brown-Tipley and Hilary Brown, Keely Garfield, Beth Gill, Jonathan Gonzalez, Miguel Gutierrez, Angie Pittman, Edisa Weeks and Ni’Ja Whitson. The fast growing series “Work Up 4.0,” a platform for emerging artists at divided into three sections and three shared weekends, concludes with- Melanie Greene, Summer Minerva and EmmaGrace Skove-Epes (Work Up 4.3 – March 16 – 17). The series also incorporates a gallery exhibition by the artists and post-performance receptions each Friday, and post-performance discussions with the artists each Saturday. Veteran choreographer since the 60s, Osserman will premiere Undermine featuring Osserman with Cori Kresge, Gary Champi, Lauren Ferguson, Joshua Tuason and Emily Vetsch to live music. Also on the program is Osserman’s Udjat for Ferguson, Kresge and Vetsch from 1985. Find out more here

This annual event which celebrates dance and dancers in many forms, returns to begin its 20th anniversary year with “A Footnote in Ballet History?” a special program honoring Magda Saleh, Prima Ballerina of Egypt. Cathy Weis Projects continues the spring 2018 lineup for "Sundays on Broadway," an ongoing series of performances, film screenings, and discussions. This Sunday will be an evening of experiments by Simone Forti and Cathy Weis on their Maiden Voyage as collaborators in a space that is so familiar to them both. Forti lived and worked at 537 Broadway for decades. Weis now resides and creates there. They will show early video work and share some of the discoveries made during one week of moving together in the studio. Find out more here
