“LET’S MAKE A DANCE” WORKSHOP/REHEARSAL: In this unique workshop led by Larry Keigwin, 24 community members of all ages (from 4 to 104) and physical abilities will take part in games and improvisational exercises to gently guide you to discover your creativity and physicality, and to prepare you to perform in public.

DRESS REHEARSAL & PUBLIC PERFORMANCE: Community performers will join the professional dancers of Keigwin + Company in a 13-minute dance that will be performed as part of Dancing Through the Bronx. Produced by Dancing in the Street and Wave Hill, Dancing Through the Bronx is a one-hour program featuring dances by three choreographers: Larry Keigwin, James “Cricket” Colter, and Arthur Aviles.

Larry Keigwin is an internationally acclaimed choreographer who has created work for national and international prominent companies, including The Martha Graham Dance Company and the Royal New Zealand Ballet; and for the current Broadway hit If/Then. Keigwin developed his “Let’s Make a Dance” workshop through the process of creating the critically acclaimed dance performance of Bolero with non-professional dancers.
