The two-day HACK-ART-THON pairs up to 10 teams of one artist and one technologist that are carefully selected and matched through an open call application. The Fellows will work on prototypes that combine art and technology to raise awareness or contribute to a concrete solution for Breaking the Stigma around Mental Illness.
Projects can range from performances, to interactive art pieces, to Apps and must use some form of AI technology. Mentors from the fields of technology, art/activism, mental health, PR and marketing will advise the Fellows throughout the process.
The winning team will receive $5,000 in grant funding to continue developing the project. Other prizes include year-long mentorship and support, artist residencies, opportunities to present their work and more.
