Dear DIW Family & Friends,
We are saddened to announce the sudden passing of our beloved and respected Founder and Executive Director Fabian Barnes. It is our understanding that he was ill. We would like to offer our sincere condolences and sympathy to his family and friends, and all who Fabian inspired.
The Dance Institute of Washington will continue its operations and service to our community. All classes, services, programs and events will continue as scheduled. The Board of Directors will continue to support collaborative efforts to guide DIW's dedication and commitment to our students that Fabian established as cornerstones of our school.
Plans for a memorial service to honor Fabian's life will be announced in the near future. Any questions regarding the school should be directed to Kahina Haynes and Jared Fisher.
