IHRAF has commissioned J CHEN PROJECT's Artistic Director Jessica Chen to curate an evening with human rights-oriented dance.
Chen will present her own work and has selected three other outstanding emerging choreographers to join the program for Saturday and Sunday
performances.
- Karla Garcia (Swing on HAMILTON on Broadway)
- Heather Robles (Managing Director of The Bessies)
- Tom Tsai (Award-Winning dancer blending breaking and modern dance styles)
PERFORMANCE TIMES
Friday, March 3 at 7:30pm (Opening Ceremonies with Special Guests)
Saturday, March 4 at 10pm
Sunday, March 5 at 4pm
"Dance can help translate unspoken fears and emotions... the nuances of a leg held up, a body launched into space and a gesture of yearning is immensely powerful. For this festival, we will use movement and choreography to enhance the conversation about critical issues related to human rights." - Jessica Chen
