I need your help in making one thousand eight hundred and sixty five roots!
Why 1,865 roots?
For the performance of Three Rites: Liberty, I'm creating an installation of roots that hang from ceiling to floor. 1865 is the last year of legalized chattel slavery in America. The audience will journey through a maze of roots to experience reflections on American Liberty. So far I have eighty roots and need a lot more! Please join me for good food, conversation and root making on:

There will be food by Royal Rib House, their BBQ sauce is finger-lickin good, and dessert by Cake Boi. Come and go as you please and engage in whatever capacity you feel comfortable – make a root, participate in and/or listen to the conversation.
