The 2018 Community Engagement Grants application cycle is currently open. Bronx-based individual artists, artist collectives and arts organizations can apply for funds to support community-based arts and culture projects.
Artists for Community
Bronx-based individual artists are invited to apply for commissioning support in the amount of $2,500 for the creation of a new work in a community setting. An essential element of this funding is the inclusion of community involvement in the development and creative process of the artists’ project.

Bronx Recognizes Its Own (BRIO) provides direct support to individual Bronx artists who create works in the literary, media, visual, and performing arts. Based solely on artistic excellence, BCA awards several BRIO grants of $4,000 to Bronx artists each year. Winners complete a one-time public service activity known as Artists for Community Enrichment (ACE).
