OPPORTUNITY: Gibney offers opportunities for Artists

INSTITUTE FOR COMMUNITY ACTION TRAINING (ICAT)
Spend a weekend learning time-tested tools to start, build, and expand your own arts and social justice program! Applications are open to performing artists, activists and social service professionals.

SHOWDOWN
ShowDown provides emerging and mid-career dance artists an opportunity to show unfinished work in an informal, welcoming setting. A feedback session following the performance is facilitated by a moderator; a noted guest choreographer. 

APPLICATION:
Open until Tuesday, November 20 at 11:59 pm EST and will not cap the number of submissions accepted. 

ShowDown participants will be chosen through a lottery system. Awardees will receive notice within 2-3 weeks after the application deadline (Tuesday, November 20 at 11:59pm).

POP: PERFORMANCE OPPORTUNITY PROJECT
POP enables dance artists to self-produce performances and showings at Gibney through a curated rental process. Artists can participate in POP through Performances, Showings, or Open Rehearsals. POP Performances offer a three-night run in The Theater (Studio H) at 280 Broadway. POP Showings & Open Rehearsals are more informal showings in our studios.
