WHITE WAVE is now accepting applications for our 2019 SoloDuo Dance Festival. We encourage emerging and established contemporary choreographers/companies to apply.

To celebrate the special art of the solo and duet, while creating additional opportunities to display the latest work of both emerging and renowned choreographers, WHITE WAVE’s 2019 SoloDuo Dance Festival (May 18th & 19th) will be held at the Dixon Place, a setting nestled in the heart of the Downtown scene, located at the junction of the Lower East Side and East Village. This space inspires performing artists of all stripes and callings to stretch the limits of their creativity and take it to new heights. Dixon Place’s foremost priorities, to serve as a safety net for artists, and to provide vivid experiences for audiences, make it a one-of-a kind venue to showcase an intimate solo or duet.

The Application Deadline is January 9, 2019 (Early Bird Special: December 21, 2018).
*Duets must be 8 minutes or less (including set-up and strike).
Solos must be 6 minutes or less (including set-up and strike). No Exceptions!
Each choreographer/company may submit up to two applications for 2019 SoloDuo Dance Festival (each application requires a separate application form, and application fee). The fee is non-refundable.
All applications will be reviewed by a panel of impartial adjudicators. If your work is selected, you will be notified by e-mail by early February, 2019.
