News from the Field: Funding Opportunity


Dear Performing and Traditional Artists,

The Creative Work Fund is forwarding an item of potential interest to you: The Vilcek Foundation is seeking applications for three prizes of $50,000 each to young theatre professionals who demonstrate outstanding early achievement. This is the first time that the Foundation has accepted applications from theatre artists, a wonderful opportunity.

Applicants need to have been born outside the United States, and identify as one of the following:

• Playwright and Book Writer
• Director
• Actor
• Designer for sets, costumes, lights, projections/video, sound, and/or puppetry
• Composer and Lyricist
• Choreographer
