Applications are now open for the 2019 Periapsis Open Series and Emerging Artist Residencies!
The Periapsis Open Series is a unique performance opportunity for choreographers who are working in collaboration with composers and/or performing with live music. Three choreographers will be selected to be presented on our season programs on May 10-11 at Kumble Theater at LIU Brooklyn.
The Emerging Artist Residencies program takes place over two weeks at the end of May. Two choreographers and two composers are selected to develop new work on members of our company, with a works-in-progress showing at the end. Guest teacher Janis Brenner will visit during the process to offer feedback and will also lead a talkback at the showing.
