Location: NY/NJ Area
Salary: Up to $90k, some flexibility based on exp.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for evaluating the arts education curriculum
- Ensure that all programs uphold the instructional philosophy, goals, and objectives of the department
- Investigate and develop special partnerships, projects, programs, and activities essential to the successful implementation of sequential arts learning
- Stay current with industry trends regarding instructional methods, arts education research trends and reports, and new strategies
- Evaluate, review, and audit arts education programs
- Develop and implement on-going analysis for evaluation
- Analyze collected data to inform program and curriculum development, assess curriculum and address areas in need of adjustment
- Analysis of and reporting on student and community data
- Research instructional programs and partners to support the academic needs of the department
- Manage one direct report
Qualifications:
- 3+ years experience in a leadership capacity within arts education
- Strong analytical background with experience collecting data in a format that is useable for analysis, including building data sets
- Ability to evaluate curriculum for dance, theater, and music training/education programs, including the preparation and reporting on current curriculum trends
- Experience initiating and developing qualitative and quantitative arts evaluation systems and tools and creating appropriate visualizations of data
- Experience in evaluating and managing multiple programs
- Bachelor's required. Master's a plus.
