The 3rd Annual ITE Contemporary Dance Festival

In Clear Night, a new collaborative performance by Brandt, as part of ISSUE Project Room and Pioneer Works’ Artist-In-Residence programs, she will present “… a series of related but distinct performances in which dancers deploy a variety of movement systems to proliferate tones, surfaces, and landscapes,” notes the release.  Find out more here

Gibney Dance: Agnes Varis Performance Lab

Gibney invites audiences “…into an intimate reflection on her past work in Duet, a sequence of restaged and reimagined works… drawn from evening-length works beginning with 1992’s Landings and extending to Gibney’s present-day work-in-process,” notes the release. Find out more here

As part of New York Live Arts’ Live Ideas festival, these women from Egypt, Syria/Palestine and Tunis bring solo dance works to New York:  Shagarat Mussafira (Traveling Trees) by Al Fajr (Egypt), SAP: Safe Art Practice by Gamil (Egypt),  ‘Atlas’ by Tawil (Syria/Palestine) and ‘In-Situ’ by Chebli (Tunis).     I am a performer, historian, consultant and dance writer.
