Described as “A quietly thrilling meditation on music, light, and movement …within the hushed, meditative sound world of Morton Feldman’s 1981 solo piano piece Triadic Memories,” Framing Time (World Premiere) is choreographed and performed by Gelabert. Noted as one of the most influential figures in Spanish contemporary dance, for this special return to the U.S., Gelabert's Framing Time is performed with Pedja Muzijevic on piano. The set and lighting design is by Burke Brown, and costume design is by Lydia Azzopardi. Find out more here

Garth Fagan Dance brings his blend of modern dance, ballet and Afro-Caribbean rhythms and movements in three programs of world premieres and repertory. The world premieres are: The North Star by Fagan, “…a celebration of the life of 19th-century abolitionist leader Frederick Douglass,” and Distant Kin, by 40-year Company veteran Norwood Pennewell. Rounding out the program is Fagan’s Prelude: Discipline is Freedom (1983), From Before (1978), In Memoriam (20011), and Mudan 175/39 (2009). Find out more here
