On Stage at Kingsborough

Danced solely by men, a Malambo tradition which began in the 17th century as competitive duels, the company of 14 Argentine “gauchos” or cowboys, created by French director and choreographer Gilles Brinas, will bring “…precision footwork, rhythmic stomping, drumming, singing, and whirling boleadoras (lassos) to the stage,” notes the release.
