Rivka and Dorfman bring together Curran, Carrie Ellmore-Tallitsch and Paul Dennis for the first time.  Slated for the program is Ori by Ariel Grossman to original music by David Homan; two by Curran: Trio (world premiere) and Desert Dance (U.S. premiere); Carolyn Dorfman Dance  will premiere Dorfman’s WAVES a real-time collaboration between live music and dance; and Carrie Ellmore-Tallitsch (Martha Graham Dance Company) and Paul Dennis (formerly of Jose Limón Dance Company) will both dance solos. The annual BAAD! spring dance festival The Boogie Down Dance Series returns with a mix of home grown dance from the Bronx and around the city featuring works by Brother(hood) Dance!, Raja Feather Kelly, Niv Acosta, Antonio Ramos, Miguel Anaya, Maria Bauman, Jumatatu Poe and many more.  Find out more here

    I am a performer, historian, consultant and dance writer. I am a Empire State College's online program Center for Distance Learning.  I am also a former faculty member at The Ailey School and the Alvin Ailey/Fordham University dance major program, Hunter College, Sarah Lawrence College (Guest), Kean University and The Joffrey Ballet School's Jazz and Contemporary Trainee Program.  I write on dance for The Amsterdam News, Dance Magazine and various publications.  Click below to read more about me at my home page - "About Me."
