At SOPAC seven local New Jersey artists are will share works in“Capturing the Moment: A Showcase of New Jersey Choreographer Fellows,” ia two-part, pre-recorded event. Featured will be the awardees of the 2020 Choreography Fellowship: Erin Carlisle Norton (Montclair), Oluwadamilare (Dare) Ayorinde (Teaneck), Pallavi Degwekar-Shaikh (Dayton), Tsai His Hung (Woodridge), Robert Mark Burke (Jersey City), Barkha Patel (Guttenberg), and Nai-Ni Chen (Englewood Cliffs). At Performance Space New York, members of AFROFEMONONOMY who have collaborated in different configurations, gathered and celebrated each other’s work—come together for the first time as a group. This exploratory collaboration happens with Black femme theatermakers Lileana Blain-Cruz, Charlotte Brathwaite, Eisa Davis, Jackie Sibblies Drury, Ayesha Jordan, Joie Lee, April Matthis, Jennifer Harrison Newman, Okwui Okpokwasili, Stacey Karen Robinson, Kaneza Schaal, and others.
