Now in its 73rd year, the Limón Dance Company present new and classic works which includes The Moor's Pavane and Psalm by Limón, along with The Weather in the Room by company Artistic Director Colin Connor with guest artists Miki Orihara and Stephen Pier; and Radical Beasts in the Forest of Possibilities by guest choreographer Francesca Harper, with an original score composed and performed live by Nona Hendryx.  Find out more here

For Jones’ Fantasies in Low Fade the description is as follows: “Suspended in the blur, in the dark, Fantasies in Low Fade situate material and hallucinatory presence in the swaying unreliability of the theater.” Find out more here
 
Graham 2
Martha Graham Studio Theater
May 30 – June 2
Under Director, Virginie Mécène, made up of pre-professional students at the Martha Graham School will present works by Graham including Heretic (1929), excerpts from Embattled Garden (1958) and El Penitente (1940), Conversation of Lovers from Acts of Light (1981), Appalachian Spring Suite (1944), Secular Games (1962), and a new work by Brice Mousset. As part of the “Wendy’s Subway Presents,” Whitson will present Slowly less and less. Although Sometimes I Still Long.     I am a performer, historian, consultant and dance writer. I am a Empire State College's online program Center for Distance Learning.  I am also a former faculty member at The Ailey School and the Alvin Ailey/Fordham University dance major program, Hunter College, Sarah Lawrence College (Guest), Kean University and The Joffrey Ballet School's Jazz and Contemporary Trainee Program.  I write on dance for The Amsterdam News, Dance Magazine and various publications.  Click below to read more about me at my home page - "About Me."
