The evening features the 1975 biographical crime drama film Dog Day Afternoon, a Q & A with Raja Feather Kelly and Chris Sarandon (who plays the character Leon based on Elizabeth Eden in the movie), and more exclusive content for one night only!
Dog Day Afternoon is inspired by the true events of a bank robbery on August 22, 1972 by John Wolkowitz in an effort to fund his partner Elizabeth Debbie Eden’s gender-affirming surgery.
Now, 48 years later, Raja and his company, the feath3r theory, search for the true motivations and outcomes behind the bank robbery in their latest work WEDNESDAY (commissioned by Live Arts and scheduled to premiere here in 2021).
