Early-career artists have until February 28 at 6 pm EST to submit applications for the third iteration of Open Call, our large-scale commissioning program that supports artists and collectives who have not yet had major institutional support in creating new work across disciplines.
Inventive, bold, and timely proposals selected by leaders from across artistic fields and organizations in the city will receive a commissioning fee of up to $15,000, as well as in-kind support managed by The Shed to realize their work and further nurture their practice. Work will be presented to the public free of charge in the summers of 2023 and 2024.
