In advance of Dance Theatre of Harlem’s January 16 performance at NJPAC, dancer and writer Charmaine Warren moderates a panel discussion about the company’s ties to Dr. King’s legacy, featuring NJPAC Teaching Artist Theara J. Ward, Program Associate with DTH’s Dancing Through Barriers Education and Outreach Program. A former DTH dancer, Ward made her Broadway debut in Black and Blue, has appeared in the TV series Homicide and has worked with artists including Aretha Franklin, Liza Minnelli and Patti LaBelle.
