In this duet, collaborative/creative duo Shaina Branfman & Bryan Strimpel pay homage to the rock band Pink Floyd; churning through and aligning with the bands perspectives, philosophies and experiences of living through an art form. Floyd digs unapologetically into the personal life of Shaina and Bryan, fueling their ambition to understand how ones inner child can survive amidst the often gruesome struggles of being alive.
*This work was made possible, in part by generous space suppport from NYU Tisch Summer Performance Series, East Village Dance Project/Ave C Studios & Martha Tornay, and the Alliance of Resident Theatres/New York. Support for this project also comes from the Laban Institute of Movement Studies Dance Performance Artillier Award with mentorship from Regina Miranda.
